I was reading about Santacon a while back on Jeremiah's Vanishing NYC. It's an interesting blog about NYC that I think you'd enjoy.

It sounds like Santacon wasn't all you hoped it would be. I think you did a nice job capturing the character of Santacon. Maybe not NY at its best but a lovely subject for an essay. The Coney Island Mermaid Parade might be a little more fun ;-)

Tom, I hope you enjoyed the process of putting this essay together. It can be a rewarding experience and change how you see things.
