This looks a bit like topaz, or photomatix. When I look at this photo, I mainly look at the pier, which doesnt relate to geology. Only after reading the title to I spend any time looking at the pebbles.

i am not being mean at all when i say this, but this image hurts my eyes. Its intersting to look at, but I suppose the oversaturation makes it psychedelic.

maybe if there was a bird perched on the tip of the point there i would like this more. the eye doesnt really have anything to focus on, besides the tree off to the left

voters are funny, though lacking in humor... this is technically good(focus, light, etc.) and it's from a unique view. Although, it isn't visually appealing! :) But 17 1's???? Crazy.

I guess if it is not a photo of trees, buildings or the underside of plants it is not going to score well in this sort of challenge.
Says a lot for originality (and some narrow minds) on this site.

If an original picture, done with a humorous title and the subject being something that occurs in millions of households around the world, is a problem to you, well I am glad I am not living with your affliction.
