This is sooo close to being one of the very very best. The problem is the background, and the lack of any detail in the dark head area. Maybe dodge and burn can save this.

I have to admit, I almost didn't even view this photo because the thumbnail did little to intrigue me. Seeing it full size, I appreciate more what you were trying to achieve. It is an interesting use of light and water to create an unique concept for the challenge. I like the individual droplets seen in the dark area at the top. In this case, leaving that sliver of unfilled space actually enhanced your shot rather than detracting from the value of keeping within the fill the frame theme. I'm afraid it's still not one of my favorite shots but I'm glad I took the time to inspect it further.

Really, really lovely shot! Excellent capture! Only complaint is the purple tint of the black areas on the bee. Still, high marks from me. =-)

Superb, I've not seen a bee's wings captured so well. The composition lets this down a little for me though... unless there is a good reason, it is better not to perfectly centre your main subject. This makes your flowers and bee look like a triangular composition which is too symmetrical for my taste. 9
