Purple Martinby rodfulkComment by stargazer05766: They seem to be difficult to capture for me anyways..
Nice DOF & crop well presented in the frame..
Can see this as a good shot if it were in focus.. |

CrimsonCloverby rodfulkComment by Melethia: Really pretty - I like your choice of focus point and the shallow DOF. And I think I saw you may play in the Topaz side challenge? This would be a good one to re-edit for that. |

Azaleas BLURIby rodfulkComment by cgino: I love the curvy line the flowers form through the image, and that color really pops! |

Purple Martinby rodfulkComment by Teafran: Not quite to the same level of expertise as some of the other avian images in this challenge, the image is flawed due to a difficult lighting situation leading to rather flat and dull coloring and soft focus. The blank sky also enhances this problem. A good effort that might have been improved with a little more patience waiting for a different angle and lighting. |

Purple Martinby rodfulkComment by MaryO: Tough little bird to capture. This shot came out a little soft and washed out, though I can see some feather detail and a catchlight in the eye. If this was cropped I'd try a much wider crop so the bird took up less space in the image. |
