Rest stop for the homelessby ScooterMcNuttyComment by Mal37: With exploitation candids, I hope to see something present in the initial capture that makes the shot worthy. This looks to be all processing. The processing is certainly well done, but the composition seems lacking. |

suprise shotby ScooterMcNuttyComment by AP: This is a very nice shot and has a lot going for it, including the lighting, unique angle and the pose. However, the focus is a tad soft, and needs to be tack sharp on portraits (unless it is intentionally out of focus). The eye is the focal point and it is blurry. And I think it is a bit overexposed on the face, even given the "high-key" feel. Finally, I think the photo could be improved with a contrast boost. In remedying the exposure/contrast aspects of this image, you may need to do some form of selective adjustments on the left vs. the right side of the face because of the difference in values on either side. Hope all these comments don't come off as too negative, I just really like the shot and thought I would offer some criticism |

Me Myself and Iby ScooterMcNuttyComment by AP: the shallow DoF and tight focus make for a nice impact on this photo, the subtle catching of light on the eyes is a also a great touch. Self-portraits however will not score well in free-studies, especially ones with the camera visible, but that doesn't take away from the niceness and rawness of this photo |

Astratto Bluby ScooterMcNuttyComment by Yo_Spiff: The team waited impatiently for the stargate to open. Their weapons were ready, though it was always hoped they would not be needed. What would today's mission bring? |
