Personally, I think that the blurring of the background trees tends to fit perfectly with what has been portrayed in this shot. This man's world may well be a 'blur' to him...or from one dream state to another, with everything blending in but his immediate surroundings since this is likely the only things that he feel connected to. At that moment, his only connection is to the bench and his own belongings.

Out of the tons of photos in here that have this type of a theme, I really think that this one has depth. Congrats on this capture!!! Nicely done!!!

good image, background blur is distracting though

Not to pick on your photo which is nicely composed and conveys a good emotional payload, but I'm getting tired of dreary benches.

I like the composition - he appears to be sleeping which makes you wonder about leaving the guitar out in th eopen. The only disconcerting thing to me is it almost appears there's a cloth or something behind the bench, screening/blurring the background. Can't quite seem to reconcile that.

What would they do without benches -

With exploitation candids, I hope to see something present in the initial capture that makes the shot worthy. This looks to be all processing. The processing is certainly well done, but the composition seems lacking.
