Focal point of this shot seems to be the burner, rather than the food. I see that you wanted to get the flame in the shot.. maybe tilting the pan towards the camera would get the best of both worlds?

hi everyone thanks for the votes and comments they were really helpful, intially i intended to have the Jar in focus with my little cousins face in the background, but since the Jar was rather heavy and her hand started to hurt, i didnt want to push it ;).

As for being out of focus i suspect thats the sweets moving around plus the lighting was a little tough, my other cousin was holding my table lamp from the left side lol !
