Pileated Woodpeckerby antares1966Comment by stargazer05766: Amazing close up.. I have a pair near the edge of the forest and am always trying to sneak up on them.. The way they peck the tree sounds like a machine gun going off.. Now am wondering if they kill a tree in the process of making holes.. Notice they haven't stayed on the current hole but several in the same big tree.. |

I think the top of the image hurts the composition - cutting off the top four flowers would really boost the strength of the composition and focus the viewer on the flowers. A slight bump in contrast would add just a little more pop. |
