Blue Heronby fldaveComment by jomari: I'm glad I'm not the only one finding the wildlife elusive. That is a really nice shot. It really shows up the blue of his plumage. |

Gator! by fldaveComment by robinssong: We were out today and saw a lot of these. Big and small.
I like the blue tone of the water and the ripples. Nice! Looks like he saying "Jump in! The water is fine!
The black and white Jedusi edited looks pretty cool too! |

Gator! by fldaveComment by SaraR: Now that is different! I can't quite imagine going for a walk around the lake nearby and coming across one of these - from the thumbnail, I thought it was going to be a photo of a duck! Love the way the water has come out. |

Did you hear the one about the Great Blue Heron? by fldaveComment by SaraR: I rather like our title! Technically not one of your best, but the interest and humour aspect make up for that. I am intrigued by these waders, with their long curved beaks. I wonder if the grey one is a juvenile? certainly a number of species of birds are grey as juveniles and as they mature the plumage gradually changes to pure white. |

That does make for a more dramatic shot. Thanks! |

Gator! by fldaveComment by lunachicken: I like the water patterns. I only get them in the zoo too. At least I don't have to take care wondering around the rivers and streams here though :p |

Sunset Oaksby fldaveComment by Covert_Oddity: The foreground tree for some reason stands out way too much, and the clouds have an odd over processed look about them. Perhaps too much contrast has caused this, not sure though. |
