I like this rendition a lot. i might attempt to change the color (fade) of the BG bovine. to me the head blends way to well with the other cow. nice work.

The removal of some of the BG elements was a very nice added touch. Your toning is lovely. I agree with what JG said, but if that doesn't work, try removing the other animal completely. You could bring the sky down to where the feet are and make your horizon line there, we wouldn't know the difference ;)

Try this Jake, I'm not sure it'll work, but its worth a try. Crop just a little into the ear on the left side.
It will give more balance, since the back is cropped just a little. And it will take our eyes away from the background animals.
I like what you've done with it so far. AND I'm not sure what I'm suggesting will work or not.

i like your crop in this one and your processing ... it is a stunning sky .. love the rays of the sun coming out from the clouds .. you've given so much more drama in your editing .. :) .. i prefer this one to the black and white .. :)
