I love the scarf. Her expression is right-on also. I find the background is distracting, and I really, really wish her face (especially the eyes) was in focus. Best of luck to you in the challenge.

Welcome to DPC...this is the place to learn how to do it better...must have thick skin at times though. I agree with many of the comments about all or none of the wine glass. You might want to learn how to use adjustment layers to tweek your imagines...just try not to over saturate as that is a tendency around here and most of the time it doesn't produce a good score. Another really good thing to do is go thru the photo archives and read the comments on a few of what think is good or bad and see what people are saying. Good luck, I think you will love it here....the more you put in, the more you get out of this place. Welcome.

This is a very nice idea. The model and her scarf really evoke my memories of the era of peaceniks. I wish your background and lighting were better; the on-camera flash has left harsh shadows on her neck.

Nice pose, but the lighting could be improved. The vertical blinds behind (or whatever they are) are a bit distracting and show the picture is slanted a bit.
