Chili Chutneyby bobonacusComment by pmichaud: Ummmmm.... this looks delicious. Anything starting with chilies and onions cannot go wrong! I froze 2 bushels of chiles (the New Mexican spelling) this fall and will use them for all kinds of things. Must try this recipe though. We are going back to New Mexico next weekend - looks like I am going to have to pick up another bushel of chiles to make chutney... |

Chili Chutneyby bobonacusComment by Kelli: I couldn't figure out what it could be from the thumbnail, lol! Nothing like fresh veggies that you grew yourself to make the meal special! |

#1 - Raining!by bobonacusComment by JuliBoc: Is that whole crowd the GTG? Too bad about the rain, but then, that's to be expected in London. Looks cold too. This really makes me wonder what so many people are waiting for. When I first saw it, I thought is was USA early voting. |

IMG_1416m.jpgby bobonacusComment by talj: I really like this place, definitely somewhere to visit again when the market is on. I forgot to say when we were there that this is the location of Diagon Alley in Harry Potter and the Philosophers stone...I didn't recognise any of it but maybe I wasn't looking the right way lol You've captured the best part for me, the ceiling! :o) |

Protecting The Herdby bobonacusComment by SaraR: Hello from the Critique Club!
Your photo is a pleasing study of this stag and his harem - and delivers just what it says in the title. Compositionally, I think the stag taking centre was the correct choice here, and the balance is kept by the does who are all facing right of frame. You have selected a good depth of field for your subject, with the stag in sharp focus and the herd thrown out into a gentle blur, although you might have been able to go softer still (depending on light and lens)and still retain the environmental context. Given there is little of foreground interest, you have made the most of the framing by minimising the amount of grass showing, but whilst still maintaining a sense of distance between you and the stag. There is a decent amount of texture revealed in his coat, although with stronger side-lighting you might have been able to capture more. The catchlights in the eyes is particularly pleasing.
I suspect that it is the light that let this down - flat and dull, and somewhat boring. Bit of a problem for those of us living in Old Blighty!
If you have any questions raised by this critique, feel free to PM me.
Regards, Sara. |

Sunday Afternoon Bike Rideby bobonacusComment by Pelle: I tried exactly the same thing on my bike last week for the motion blur challenge. Yours turned out much better! A bike vibrates more than I thought. |
