"Fading Memories"by quicksnapsComment by JimiRose: I like the composition here, and it's a nice idea, but the light needs sorting out. I would either have a) shot this in the late afternoon, no flash, soft natural light (also that would match the mood you're going for here) or b) turn off the flash, put the camera on a tripod and do a long exposure. |

"Fading Memories"by quicksnapsComment by mdelaplane: The lighting is too harsh for this. Given this is a "still life" you might have been able to use low level natural light and a tripod or bounce the flash off a screen to diffuse the light. |

"Fading Memories"by quicksnapsComment by Lydia: The use of a flash makes this less desirable as a photograph to me... but it does make it seem like it's night and the child left her shoes and went to bed.
I think I'd prefer it without such an obvious flash. |

"All Aboard"by quicksnapsComment by spencerwood: Could have pushed the saturation of the yellow harder during postprocessing to really reinforce the image. Seems to have a bit of a blue cast, might have been worth setting the white balance manually off the top of the train (given its the subject) rather than the background. |
