A good family moment captured, certainly meets the challenge. If this was a candid shot it's very good, the focus is great. I like the different colours. A few patches of overexposure in the sun but nothing that grabs the eye, so that's Ok. A shallower DOF may have been good for blurring the busy background a bit but again, it's not too eye-grabbing so it's Ok. I think this one will probably do quite well.

Lovely detail in the petals. Feel like there's too much of the hand and vase in the image though...would rather the magnifying glass and flowers dominate the frame. Top 10 though!

Nice take on a classic subject! Lighting, sharpness, DOF all very well controlled and demonstrate a high degree of skill. The magnifying glass and hand do a lot to tie the photo directly to the challenge (which also sets this photo apart, since it seems many people--including me--interpreted the challenge as "take a picture of a plant").
