Light and Shade: Paint on Canvasby ImagineerComment by e301: Take heart from the quality of the people that bothered to comment, Jon; and thanks from me for putting up something more intersting than the run-of-the-mill. I was one of the 7's, but I scored nothing higher in this challenge. Good to see challenging stuff. |

Just A Minuteby ImagineerComment by EddyG: I'm so jealous that you have a Nixie tube clock! Nice shot; the "cool" background color you chose works well to contrast the "orange hot" glow of the Nixie's... |

Light and Shade: Paint on Canvasby ImagineerComment by zeuszen: Despite the the very tight crop near the road sign (especially above it), its inclusion adds both dimension and balance to this soft and partly sensual chiaroscuro. A little sidelight on part of the sign would have been delightful as well. An array of shapes, tones, textures and lines juxtaposed with graffiti without any sense of clutter!
One of the most satisfying and creative images in this challenge, IMO.

Mby ImagineerComment by BrennanOB: I like this shot, the slight blurring gives it an energy;I like the blown out face leaving only the eye, but the mottled gold backround, being in the same tonal group as the eye lessens what would be a strong effect. If it were mine I would post process the backdrop down or out. Never the less this is a strong image, and you have a lovely model to shoot at which makes it so much easier to get an arresting image.
