His Hatby LadyKComment by ambaker: Critique Club Review:
Color/Saturation and hue are all good. Brightness is maybe a bit cool, but reading your comments there is only so much one can do with a cloudy day.
I like the texture on the fence posts, a bit brighter would have been better for my eyes. With the heavy border, the hat appears periously close to the edge of the frame. The shallow depth of field helps isolate the subject from the background, but at the same time renders the sky almost featureless. It does appear that there might be some patches of blue there. Or were they darker clouds?
The darkness at the left of the frame, joins to form a vertical shape that makes the picture a bit heavy and almost ominous. (Sort of..."and a shadow passed over the land... effect.)
Overall a good picture. |

His Hatby LadyKComment by sherpet: Simple and effective for this challenge. My only suggestion would be to maybe not have the sky in the image, but I still like this one as it is..... |

The Aftermathby LadyKComment by Ceefore: I like your slightly off centre main subject for the composition of this photo. The green liquid obviously draws the attention first and foremost and draws the eye towards the centre of the image. There's a slight feeling of narrative with the photo as we are indeed, as the title suggests, looking at the aftermath of some kind of experiment presumably gone wrong. 6 from me. |

The Aftermathby LadyKComment by bassbone: a good idea for dpc - simple and to the point - i just wonder about the fizzy stuff - i think if the bubbles outside the Erlenmeyer were a bit more dramatic it could have come off better
also, the lighting seems if it could have been focused a bit better to provide more definition to the edge of the flask |

The Aftermathby LadyKComment by pidge: I like the idea and concept, but I think you would have gotten your idea across if the picture had been taken from a slightly higher angle so you could see the 'aftermath' on the table more |
