i've looked and looked and i'm still not sure what i'm seeing .
is it seeing thru a really old camera with a dog sitting looking out into the distance ..
i dont know the construction of really old box brownies and the like so i'm in the dark .. much like this pic .. !! .. as i cant distinguish the shapes really well ..
thats ok .. i'm liking the overall feeling of this .. and i find it mysterious .. :)

this is pretty cool .. loving the black and white edit you've done on this and how it really does tell a story .. the editing makes me feel its old and forgotten .. in some garden out of the way that hardly anyone ever visits .. especially like your dof .. and how the spigot is in focus and everything else not .

Black is as much a character in this image as the mysterious man at its top. Very powerful and cinematic, noir. The reflections of merely the orange lanterns and the entering light substantiate the whole, which whole is substantiated many times over here. Balance is adroitly obtained by the positioning of the reflections, the lanterns, the open window on the front left, the wall which leads to the silhouetted figure, that figure and the barely perceptible wall on the right. And they deserve enumeration. I'm mesmerized by that window. I want to read the book or see the movie. Absolutely terrific photograph.
Personal co-favorite of the challenge.
