You might want to try not pressing the shutter button. You can buy a remote shutter release for very little money. Just a thought.

Try fixing the white balance also - everything is so yellow.

Comment by SJCarter:
A little blurry and the tonal range could use a little oomph, but your eyes still carry the emotion right through the page to the viewer. What an incredible connection to the camera.

I think that the apparent greyness of your hair is down to the fact that it's simply reflecting light. Perhaps your hair shouldn't be so shiny?

like the unusual aspect of you looking up out of the frame, although the portion of background in the lower right draws my eye a little too much, I feel.

Great eyes again, although I find the background a little busy. A much tighter crop in on your face would work well, I feel.

I'm stoked to see a smile! Very pretty.
I agree with Ken about moving further away from the background, not only will it create a softer shadow but it will make the wrinkles in the background less noticable. :)

Comment by Ken:
I really like your B&W conversion and the high contrast created by the light background.

The lighting is very good, IMO, but that shadow is a bit distracting. What I would do is pull yourself a bit away from the background and make sure the focus is on you, which should create a much softer shadow.
