I've noticed birds fly into the headwinds...I'm guessing it gives them more control. I think I'll research this one!! Nice image of the still gull!! :)

i dont know where you live but it looks like it could be the main street of our local town .. we live about 12 minutes drive away .. looks cold and a bit dreary .. i dont like the rain !! :)

i'm thinking of taking a photograph i that rain .. either you were in a car, under cover or you had some protection for your camera .. that about covers the various scenarios ..!!! ..
oh .. unless you have a waterproof camera !!
and dogs .. i get that all the time .. i get the perfect shot lined up .. for me its usually a very flighty insect .. and then the dog wanders over .. aghhhhhhhhh ... lucky i dont have a problem with anger or my dogs would be DEAD !! ..:)

You say that there's not much to it. There's a superbly attractive sky, some lovely detail in the foreground and a strong vanishing point. I beg to disagree with you, there's a lot to this and it's all good.
