I have noticed the exact same thing about high scoring images doing free falls on the last day. And have you ever noticed? I have happened to watch my score drop significantly before my eyes on the last day without any new votes being added. Hmmmm.... Makes one wonder the motives for "vote changing" at the end, doesn't it.
