Years Gone Byby LydiaComment by streetpigeon: Good casual study of one side of an abandoned building. The composition looks off-hand but balances out well. The small tree on the left and the smaller window and pipes on the right allow the large window to be strongly in the center. What's within is difficult to establish. Nice. |

Bridgeby LydiaComment by Skip: this just doesn't work for me. i think it's the toning. that, and that i'm not sure what you want me to see. is this a photo of a boat with a bridge in the background, or a photo of a bridge with a boat in the foreground? it would be stronger if it were one or the other. the boat seems to be more in focus and if that's the case, the entry is a shoe-horn. (i'm not voting, just commenting.) |

Years Gone Byby LydiaComment by Skip: this works. could possibly play with the processing a bit. maybe less contrasty? maybe some detail inside, just to draw you in and arrest my attention a bit more? all the same, one of the better images i've come across in this challenge. |

Sailingby LydiaComment by xodiak: I like this shot but I'm not sure why you chose to make it sepia. |

Boys will be Boysby LydiaComment by kbellis: Lydia, Sorry to hear this and hope that your experience has remedied the procedure's underlying cause(s). Be well :) and hope you can get all of your boys back again soon, and under happier circumstances.
Sorry too, in learning about the BS DQ. Another example of why from the sidelines I only silently root for you all in what seems like an array of bewildering constraints.
The unspoken art in 'Boys will be Boys', and other BS DQs, is navigation of a system of rules that generally remain unseen and which I've never understood. God's speed to all of you that do!
