National Leapfrog Championsby LydiaComment by Abstract: how in the world did you able to catch this moment? talking about being at the right place at the right moment.
unless somehow you were able to stage this with two "pet" frogs. then again, how can you make two frogs do this?
either way...impressive!!! |

National Leapfrog Championsby LydiaComment by SandyP: That is pretty amazing! The detail -- without an over-sharpened look is fantastic! And I love the way those colors make it look so. . .well. . .pretty, even in such ugly little creatures :) This has gotta be a top contender. I think our dpc crowd looooves their frogs :) |

"It's not easy bein' GREEN..."by LydiaComment by Adamsw216: What a lovely shot! The DOF works quite well and the arrangement and nuances of the flowers with the frog (?) make this shot very appealing. Not entirely sure why you chose a Coke can specifically, but the color contrasts between the red of the can and the transition through the violets to the greens and whites works for me. |

" . . . so I looked down and . . . "by LydiaComment by geinafets: I've taken showers with frogs (and geckos and bugs and other strange creatures...no snakes though I think) more times than I can count. It's just what happens when you camp in Africa : ) But I do remember my fellow travelers being incredibly creeped out. I wonder if any of them had nightmares about it later?
Anyway, cool shot! Congrats on the top 15! Message edited by author 2009-04-28 22:46:25. |

" . . . so I looked down and . . . "by LydiaComment by SEG: If you don't mind me asking. How did you get this image so sharp. Is it all in the lens? Does it have a lot to do with PP? I have been trying to get a B&W to look good and can come no where near this. Please PM me if you get a moment. |

National Leapfrog Championsby LydiaComment by Teafran: Initially, this image failed to completely impress, but on a third viewing, it would appear that the initial impression was incorrect. This is one of those images that require more than one view to properly assess because of it's very nature - a macro shot with a rather plain background and lack of motion inviting closer inspection. However on review, the details pop out - nice and rich with excellant exposure and color control. There are not any technical issues and while it failed to impress initially, it is a complete artistic success. Originally rated an 8, it it rerated a 9. Well done. |
