As a 'Nature' shot this is great, in an 'Eye' challenge it could do really well - but does it say 'Drama' to me ?

Personally 'no', but on the other hand it does make me smile each time I look at it :- )

Lydia, I thought this was an amazing shot and am shocked that it wasn't AT LEAST in the top 10. As you pointed out, no where in the challenge description did it state that the appliance had to be the main subject. Although, I personally feel that it is, otherwise you would have cropped much tighter on the hummingbird and flower.

Hopefully the DNMC votes weren't too discouraging; I hope to see more shots like this in the future!

I just read all of the comments and I have to disagree with most of them ... I immediately saw the toaster, then the flower and then the bird ... realized what you were going for ...I think that this is fantastic! Clever title and well shot ... had I voted I would have given you a 9 ... great job!
