I think the ungroomed-ness of the mouse's fur gives off a slightly "diseased" feeling (usually only sick animals don't groom). I think that takes away from what could be an absolutely adorable image. The idea is great and the moment is perfect--the mouse's expression is cute and he seems very possessive of his cheese : )

Great implied environmental portrait, i.e. vibrant teenager being held back by the small, nothing to do, stereotyped town. The presence of the lock in the frame was a great choice. Keep those teenage boys locked up in that town! I have daughters to raise in the big suburb sprawl of SoCal! ;) I do think that the image is too dark overall, other than that I like it, and it's connection to the challenge has grown on me over the course of the week. 6 because it's just a bit too dark.
