The performerby MaggyeComment by crik: Good candid catch. He does seem to be lost in thought, bored or maybe it's just been a long day. I like your b&w here. |

The performerby MaggyeComment by Melethia: Nice catch! And if they do catch you catching them, go ahead and take a few cheesy shots. You can shoot while talking to them. Sometimes you catch a good non-candid candid out of the bunch. Your B&W processing seems to be pretty good here. |

Reading Timeby MaggyeComment by Melethia: Ah, has a nice sense of comfort to it - shoes off, enjoying the day. Having now looked at some of the other comments, a lower angle might not have given you a nice diagonal on the wall and a relatively clean background. |

Day 1by MaggyeComment by Melethia: You made very good use of some lovely light here! One of the things I'll do (when I'm brave enough, that is) is hang out somewhere like this when I find light or a backdrop that I like. Then I just shoot a lot, hoping to catch a keeper or two. |

The performerby MaggyeComment by bvy: Not a bad BW. The warm but subdued sepia seems to work. Great subject seen in profile. A little OE on the back. |

Reading Timeby MaggyeComment by bvy: Great angle and lots to look at there. I might have processed this in BW, but it seems to hold up well in color too. |

The performerby MaggyeComment by SandyP: Oh you did GREAT!!!! This is awesome. I had to chuckle because I run into the same thing. I love secretly photographing people -- not because I'm afraid to ask them if I can take their picture -- because I do that sometimes too -- but because the minute they know you are taking your picture, they get that posed "Cheeeeeeeeeese(ey)" look on their face, right?
This is such a great slice of life.

The performerby MaggyeComment by bassbone: street performers are wonderful subjects for these types of shots - it almost seems like this guy is more interested in watching and looking than playing - my guess his money flow suffers because of this...nice capture |
