here you had all the elements for a good shot. a bit of more fantasy and you had a chance for a good result. On the photo: the light is simply terrible and the composition isn't the best possible.

Still life's are tough and doing them well is normally about isolating your subject. In this case, putting a uniform color behind the banana's would really have helped. The way it's shot, I find myself distracted by the background and being very aware that this was just shot in a kitchen.

The harsh flash shadows kill this one for me. Perhaps move the subject farther from the background and decrease depth of field?

Reflection on the wall and flash casted shadow let this down technically. Artistically, the horizonal line on the wall, the light source on the floor and the strange banana stand all add unnessesary complications. The subject is the bananas, a simple neutral background with a clever light source would have shown them off best IMO.

Fantastic photo, you need to work harder on you lighting. The harsh background subtracts from the yellowness of the bananas.
