skaterby tydComment by itsaghostcar: nice. being in b+w seems to concentrate the pic firmly on the skater ... away from (probably) distracting signs in the background. One question ... did he land it? :)

skaterby tydComment by timj351: I know this place. I have some very similar shots myself. Maybe you could have gotten lower to try to get a skater against the bright sky instead of the similarily shaded background as the boy's shirt.

skaterby tydComment by GeneralE: I don't know the original colors in the scene, but I'm guessing that using grayscale helps emphasize the foreground over an otherwise brighter background.

skaterby tydComment by jmsetzler: I like black and whites and I plan to try to incorporate that into challenges in the future myself. I like the action in this shot. I would like it better if the skater was not centered in the frame.... Subject orientation to the upper left a bit in this photo would increase the drama a bit. Also, maybe if you were just a little closer to the action... Nice shot!

skaterby tydComment by cinnamon: It's a cool shot, I like the shadow, but the black and white I'm not sure was a good idea. Against that background the black clothing just makes him fade to where you can barely see him. (Or her, to be fair!)
