This shot is fantastic. I know how hard it is to capture hummingbirds, and you have done very well here. The background is great - just enough to tell that this is a nice, green, outdoor setting, but nothing that detracts from the bird. Well done.

Nice macro, and good desat as well. The color of the poppy really looks great against the desaturated BG. There are a few spots of desat on the petals, which may or may not have been intentional, but they don't distract the eye too much. Very nice. :o)

Not a great picture to use for this challenge - spiders give many people the creeps, especially when macro's in this close.. Crop is a little too tight - would have been nice to have something else in near focus pictures with it. The subject is confusing - one nice and bright, the other (spider) not. Great workmanship isolating the flower from the background, and, you desaturated the picture without effecting the flower. Nice job overall.

Fascinating image. Unfortunately your selection process is a bit off. All of the poppy should have been in orange. I assume this is because of not being proficient with your editing program. If you are using photoshop, I would be happy to give you some tips, if you like.
