Elmerby Yo_SpiffComment by hesitant: first impression suggested HDR (I see it's Topaz now), which I thought was a bit 'rad' being a new technique on an old-time subject. Nothing wrong with that, of course. I agree with the others about it being a great environmental portrait. (But have you tried it in mono with a sepia tint?) |

Behind barsby Yo_SpiffComment by littlegett: It is a nice image, the contrast is nice between the animal, sky and shadow. However there seems to be a certain depth missing here. Sure its a nice image, but just missing that wow factor. |

Good eye. I did use a modest amount of Topaz and Clarify, but I didn't want to take it over the top, just enough to give it some dimension. |

Although the dog is at an unusual angle for a 'portrait' on the other hand it gives a nice visual line leading us straight to Elmer.
