its a beautiful flower btw .. loving the colours and the sharp details .. i wonder what soil these flowers prefer .. and whether they need watering .. :)

one thing .. i'm loving the clarity of the foreground and the way it fades off into the distance and looks misty .. gives this a wonderful almost ethereal feel .. :)

i would have been tempted to enter this over the one you chose .. just for that incredible lighting .. but i feel the voters may have marked you down .. as it seems more about the sun and the amazing sky than the landscape ..
having said that .. i personally feel that this satisfies the challenge perfectly .. an almost silhouette of a landscape is just as much a landscape as one that shows more detail ..

I changed this from a 6 to a 7. My only issue with this is it could have done with a crop of the cloud cover - makes it a better image in my opinion. However, we all know what opinions are....nice capture and processing.
