She's the wife of one of the regulars, so your observation is correct. |

Debating the DAM shotby Yo_SpiffComment by Melethia: Hmmm. Maybe when I quit DPC I should join a flickr group. I'm going on an outing for the day walkabout thingie (I forget who organizes that - Scott Kelby?) in the San Pedro area - maybe I'll meet flickr people that way! |

Corbin vs the Ladybugby Yo_SpiffComment by Melethia: I like that he has his own camera! Poor ladybug... reminds me of a neighbor (a big guy) who was going to take a shovel to a snake about 6 inches long. I rescued the snake. |

IMG_0687B BW 800by Yo_SpiffComment by Melethia: Again, for me the B&W of this shot works best. And it has a very nice old-time feel to it as well. Pretty strong composition and your background adds an environmental element rather than a distraction. |

Shoe shine Davidby Yo_SpiffComment by Melethia: Between these first two, this is by far the strongest. To me the color does not add, and in fact detracts due to the ever-popular distraction issue. Here, the B&W resolves to the core issue - your shoeshine man and his expression. You've removed the competing elements of the reflections in the glasses, the hats in the windows, both of which stood out in color. Do you agree? |
