I just discovered this looking thru the Posthumous, Part IV thread... you only described it, but I came to your profile to find it, because you reminded me of a similar shot of my own that I took just weeks after yours. In my case, I didn't see it until someone else pointed out "Nessie" in my image when I was showing it and other images off.

This was a great concept and well done. :)

Cat hair or bird feather, I'd say. Complementary textures are pleasing, especially presented with contrasting tones like this.
