It's a very nice shot compositionally and the light was perfect for showing off the texture of the leaf. Relatively slow shutter so maybe he moved a smidge to create the blur? Bad model!!

But I think it is an artsy way to show a cute critter, I think it is also nice that it puts the critter in his environment

I love the colors and its tack sharp which I am always a fan of. I think the flower in the background distracts me a bit from the bee which should be the main focus. I like it and I think its a great score for a free study. I expect to see this one in the Wildlife Images Side challenge, then I'm sure you'll get more comments ;-)
