Irisby ErikVComment by Nadine_Vb: Although I get the creeps of an eye shot that close and wide open this way, I vote in function of the technical aspects. Sharp from left to right, bottom to top. The skin in b&w, the eye ball slightly coloured and the iris full colour: perfect job. |

18 Marriette & Wes.jpgby ErikVComment by SandyP: I really like the pose. It does make it more interesting, and I don't think the lighting's flat at all. My only wish is that they didn't look so ticked off. I think if they were standing in that exact pose, but looked pleasantly into their own thoughts, they would look like they had a connectedness that transcends having to be looking at each other or talking. But they look reeeeeeeeeally mad at each other.
But my vote: very successful photography! |

17healed.jpgby ErikVComment by SandyP: Was he digitally healed??? Or really healed?? So what's the story about how you came about photographing this little critter snuggled up in a blankie? |

16 Cross Country Skier.jpgby ErikVComment by SandyP: I love photos like this. Living in such a snow-deprived place like Texas, it looks like a dream to be able to get out and go for an invigorating (except in my case it would be "exhausting") hike in the snow. We're going snow shoeing at the end of February -- so it makes me feel all warm and fuzzy looking at this :) |

Irisby ErikVComment by RianBotes: Very nice. Love this and it makes me stare and stare and stare. The flash doe sbother a bit in the black but nothing you can do about that. It's just amazing looking at this and trying to understand how this works. 8 |

Irisby ErikVComment by Insomniac: Wow! To have managed this under the basic editing rules is really impressive. Looking forward to reading about your light setup and post-processing. |

19 Freddie.jpgby ErikVComment by LVicari: You have done an excellent job lighting her! Two things I would suggest: Try using a slower shutter speed to get more ambient light in the background to balance this some. It is too obvious that you used flash. The second suggestion is to warm her up a bit. (no not that way). Try using a warming gel on your flash or do it in PS after the fact. Hope this helps.
