6 - Maybe it is because of the size constraints, but I wish I could decipher what that orange/yellow thing is. Otherwise, I like the tones and wish this had a little more of a dreamy/fantasy feel overall.

Why this works for me: I connect with the scene, having been there, at that age. It feels lonely; I like that. The duotone is lovely. The flora is beautiful. The dark shirt against the light boy+grass is interesting. I can smell the hay, or barley, or whatever it is.

Why this doesn't work for me: I don't connect with the scene other than through superficial memories of childhood. To me, "fine art" is emotive on a darker, or a deeper, scale; this is neither. The seemingly purposefully selected and saturated element near centre-left (a leaf or something) is contrived, in my view.
