The Gameby MrZedComment by 16point2mm: the reflections in general, and the "light bath" of the right side of the board detract from this shot far too much for my tastes. |

The Gameby MrZedComment by hannafate: I understand your desire to use backlighting to highlight the chess pieces, and it worked well for that, but the resulting glare on the chess board spoils it. |

The Gameby MrZedComment by C-town driver: Looks like the camera is tilted clockwise. Otherwise nice shot that plays off the lighting very well. |

The Gameby MrZedComment by Brad: Lighting was the key here. Better lighting would have rated this high! |

The Gameby MrZedComment by melismatica: This is a boring point of view. It is too literal a depiction of a familiar subject. It does not show us the chess pieces in a new way. |

The Gameby MrZedComment by beckettboots: The concept of this shot fits the challenge well. The focus seems a little soft and the contrast could be bumped up a little, but the translucence of the pieces may make that a little difficult. (Do you realize that the rook and knight are reversed?) |

The Gameby MrZedComment by Glen King: The sunshine across the floorboards distracts from the meaning of the challenge. 6 |

The Gameby MrZedComment by taterbug: I think this could be a lot better without the harsh lighting and glare. Also maybe straightening the board. |
