Very clever idea and well done--would have liked for the soul to have had a little more space to depart; cutting it off on the edge it a little distracting. It's silly to say this, but if the smoke was actually exiting the picture there, it would be ok. but since it swirls back in on top, it looks like it was cut off accidentally.

anyway, that long winded addition has nothing to do with the score, just a thought. 8

Very cool concept shot! I like it. Definitely conveys the message of the idea. Perhaps allowing a little more space, showing some more of the smoke wafting away could be even stronger. But a well executed idea, nice job.

does well match the challenge, explicitly symbolic, technically well done. I think it would work better when mirrored, so the smoke will go away rather than coming to me.
