Autumn Viewby jegerComment by travis_cooper: I like the balance in this shot, it definitely leads me up to the taller giraffe. They seem to be enjoying their autumn view alright. I wish they were doing something though, this theme to me is animals doing something, animal life, not just a shot of an animal looking. Overall great composition. |

Tribute to "Eyes" by librodoby jegerComment by CNovack: O.K. instead of an exotic looking lady wrapped in a head scarf we get a parody with the blue-eyed young man:-) You might be getting dinged from the literalists which expect a close as possible emulation. I am just going to go on the pros and cons of the composition. You have the wonderfully bold and vibrant hue of orange which is akin to what colorful head covering we see adorn Librodo's models. The orange really pops nicely off of the black background. One con to the composition is lighting. The lighting seems to be off to the left hand side of the model. What happens is that it casts a very harsh unflattering shadow from the head covering onto the left hand side of the face. Also while the lighting illuminates the left hand portion of the face while the right fades to shadow in some spots on the nose and above the eyebrow the highlights are a tad blown such that there is no skin texture. Either have another light source shining on the right hand side of the model or have a light source shine full on with perhaps a thin cloth to defuse the harsh tone of the light on your model so that the light falls evenly on the model's face. Having even lighting will flatter the skin tones and illuminate the model more evenly. Lastly, this model has nice blue eyes, play them up. Since this is advanced editing you could do a selection on the eyes, then feather to avoid a hard edge, and then do some saturation adjustment along with Highlight/Midtone/Shadow to deepen the tones and add vibrancy to the color. Making those blue eyes pop would really add visual interest to your photo. |

Tribute to "Eyes" by librodoby jegerComment by mpeters: Being brutally honest, your subject doesn't lend himself to a Librodo style portrait...However, that is not his fault and overall you did a nice job of photographing him. I particularly like the thin highlight of the scarf's edge along the RH side of the frame. 6 |

Tribute to "Eyes" by librodoby jegerComment by LN13: Unfortunately, to me this isn't really a good emulation of Manny's work. To me, it's just a guy with a scarf on his head. It's not a bad photo. It's sharp and well lit. It just doesn't scream "MANNY LIBRODO"! |

"I can't get no, satisfaction"by jegerComment by missykim: Fantastic capture! I love the colors of the fish. What amazes me most is the way in which they approach the commotion. Perfect circle, yet enough random, staggard lines to create interest. Beautiful. |

Tribute to "Eyes" by librodoby jegerComment by disdatmac: This was a FANTASTIC idea! But unfortunately the photo looks over-exposed to me. The lighting seems too harsh. I just love the concept though!!! I scored 7 |
