The Hornetby rhipsterComment by soccerdad: The DOF looks a little different than I would expect (especially near the front legs.) It will be interesting to see your notes about whether that was something you added, or if that is due to the angle you chose for the shot. Either way, I want to reach out and kill this before it kills me. Nicely done. |

The Hornetby rhipsterComment by BobsterLobster: Spectacular macro... the background doesn't quite work for me, it's too distracting especially as the change of colour cuts the hornet in half. Amazingly sharp, very deep dof for a macro such as this. It looks like you selectively blurred the foreground, and it looks a bit odd. 7 |

A.I.by rhipsterComment by mhoogendyk: Now if only the little wooden model was sodering connections, THEN I might sit up and take notice. As it is, I can only assume he was just tossed into the picture. Makes no sense at all. Just the same, it IS a good image of the electronic boards. |

The Hornetby rhipsterComment by ggbudge: nitpick - I can see the pin in it's back.
The wood really shows the DOF. Great detail on the face. If I could vote, I'd give you a 9. |

The Hornetby rhipsterComment by cpanaioti: Colours and texture are wonderful and the exposure seems bang on, however the DOF seems a tad too shallow. What is in focus is very sharp. With the angle of the photo I think more DOF would help balance the image between in and out of focus elements. 8 |
