Day 1by karmatComment by Arcanist: Really familiar with this view (and the smell) having grown up in Rumford, ME where at the time the Boise Cascade plant was the largest operation under one roof - in the world!
A great capture and nice choice of using lower third for factory with the detail in the sky putting it in it's environment. It does not 'feel' like an anti-pollution statement, but rather a character study of a town's main employment center. |

Day 1by karmatComment by KarenNfld: Good picture. I grew up in a logging town and the logs were trucked 30 miles down the highway to the city with the paper mill. That city always stinks of sulphur, I hate the smell. |

Day 1by karmatComment by Sweetlittlepixie: I love shots of factories and chimneys and steam and pipes. They are so interesting to look at. Love this in black and white and the contrast is good. |

Day 1by karmatComment by DjFenzl: Very nice tones, the image looks very rich. I like it a lot.
I'd prefer it a bit wider I think though so more of the factory was in the shot. The chaos in the sky is wonderful though. |

Day 1by karmatComment by ArpeggioAngel: Nice tonal range. I like the crisscrossing lines in the sky - probably from planes? |
