Jan 04 2010by JaimeVinasComment by SandyP: This is striking! Thanks for sharing so much of how you did it. It's a great study in getting this very unique effect of your subjects popping like that in such a dramatic 3-dimensional way.

Jan 01 2010by JaimeVinasComment by SoulJance: really nice shot. Even though her face does look a bit unnatural (compared to her shoulders) being so pale I like it as it reminds me of the Oriental white face paint they they used to use a lot. I personally feel that he head is tilted a little bit too far. In the head of the moment its always hard to look at the details but there is something white in her hair and there is a smudge (i think) above her left eye. |

Jan 04 2010by JaimeVinasComment by ErikV: Great eyes and teeth! Nicely posed, well lit. Backround burning to make the subjects pop had its desired effect. |

"Just a come-on from the whores on Seventh Avenue..." - The Boxerby JaimeVinasComment by odriew: A majority of the pictures in this challenge are either very literal interpretations or blatant shoehorns with little to no connection to the titles/lyrics. It's refreshing to see that this captures the essence of the song perfectly. The expression of the "boxer" portrays the loneliness and hardships he faces living in the city. You get a well deserved 10. =) |
