The Bearded Ladyby ellamayComment by MrAkamai: Very good macro shot. Great details of the wings and most of the body. Overal feel is a bit dark although contrast of the wings seems to be very good. 6 |

The Bearded Ladyby ellamayComment by PDavis: Beautiful shot. I like the detail you can see in the wings. The only thing that I might change, is that I would have the whole butterfly in sharp detail. Just a little wider dof. Great work and good luck. |

The Bearded Ladyby ellamayComment by Maverick: A very nice macro shot, a closer crop might be more powerful, though I do like the inclusion of his natural habitat. |

Jambo by ellamayComment by zeuszen: Gorgeous, stunning capture of an impala in what appears to be a pristine environment!
Sharpness, chosen depth of field, contrast, brightness - all are perfectly synced. There are no distractions. Whatever grass, shrubs and branches are there, are there, convincingly and credibly. Colours and tones are marvelously subdued, suggestive of dawn. The framing/composition by thirds, too, is simple and ample, well suited for the subject.
The impala's poised posture, the clear eye-contact, the sweep of the ringed antlers sculpt an instant, preciously charged with a tangible heartbeat -wild! And there are neither fences nor oil wells cluttering our attention!
This, IMHO, is an inspiring photograph, which goes beyond mere show and tell. It speaks to me simply and naturally of the thrill and the fragility of life. > 10 |

The Bearded Ladyby ellamayComment by blindjustice: stunning detail. this is green as nature intended it. perhaps there is just a bit missing to make this a trule compelling shot, the composition or "focus zones" may seem a bit unnatural or... artificial. |

The Top Partby ellamayComment by rennie: For the title, I would make a picture of the feathers on the top of peackock head only. Would've been nice to break the head "what the hell is it?". Pity, the background is boring and I think, since there is nothing happening in the background or around peackok, it would've been better to try and make a portrait out of it and give the background more decided colour. 5. |
