The black squirrel is quite common in vancouver actually, the sependipity of this shot was all the squirrels, i was trying to lure him over with some bird seed, and he was edging towards me, but then this other family threw him this huge cracker. I wasn't trying for serendipity but when got home realized it was there. : )

Serendipity is a difficult concept to visualize. For me it means being at the right place, at the right time, and being lucky enough to capture something unique. Some of these entries are set up shots trying to illustrate that concept, and some record a serendipitous moment experienced by the photographer themselves. This is a good example of the latter. I like the colors, and a black squirrel is unusual. But I'm not sure it really represents serendipity.
