Despite the fact that the challenge clearly stated the photo should be of a person, I think this is an interesting shot. The lighting is quite harsh, though and not typically what you would find in a studio type portrait. Perhaps a little light on his/her face so that there would have been a reflection in the eyes would have helped to brighten up the photo a bit.

Interesting take, doesn't feel like a portrait in the traditional sense, but evokes emotion and humor. I wish I could see his eyes, though. A very powerful shot, regardless.

How cute! I'm betting you're already tired of the "does not meet the challenge" comments since the dog isn't a "person" Shows what they know! I love this shot, the lighting leaves a bit to be desired, the shadows are overpowering the shot itself And DOF is off just a bit, seems the whole shot should be in focus, the ears a bit fuzzy and it's not the hair, LOL! Not sure if people will like it because it is a dog portait and not a human portrait, but it is different. Nice lighting. Wish I could see more of the eyes though.
