... while i find constructive criticism quite helpful, i did not particularly find *your* comment helpful, since it seemed to me to be negativity without any pointers on where to go. of all the comments i've received, i've only not checked two comments as helpful... yours being one. i think that speaks for itself. if i'm not allowed to choose which comments i feel are helpful, what's the button for?

In all seriousness, this would have scored well. I would have given it a 6 or 7, FWIW. The soft focus actually works well here, and the lighting isn't bad at all.
