Frequent Flyerby ccaComment by karmat: Compositionally, this shot has some strong points. The different "shapes" set up with the lines are very effective. The plants and the wall "lead" diagonally to the fence. And the "squarish" shapes of the wall is a nice contrast with the vertical fence railings. I think cropping just a bit off of the left side would help a couple of things. It would eliminate some of the "dead" space on the left and it would get rid of the little clump of greenery that is a bit distracting.
Technically, the lighting and exposure on this is good. What hurts is the focus. It doesn't look "soft," it just looks blurry. If the walls and green stuff were focused and just the dog was blurry, you would have a great action shot. Unfortunately, it is all out of focus.
If the shot became fuzzy upon resizing for dpc, you may want to check out the tutorials, or if you are using PaintShop or Photoshop, make sure you are using bicubic resampling when resizing. |
