Solitudesby zeuszenComment by dagaleaa: I really liked this photo...it was different, and beautifully photographed. Some comments mention the jogger, but I think it adds to the photo giving it a great contrast and perspective. This photo should have done better in votes, and that is my opinion. |

Solitudesby zeuszenComment by melismatica: I'm getting better at spotting your work, Zeus. This is lovely. It was in my top 10. It has a surreal, painterly quality to it. I love the juxtaposition of the lone bird flying and the tiny runner. A truly unique nature shot!
Added after reading the comments... I wrote my comment before reading any others. It is interesting to note that a couple of other viewers shared my experience. Message edited by author 2004-07-08 00:44:09. |

Solitudesby zeuszenComment by photom: A true work of art. The only thing that doesn't work for me is the jogger. It does provide some scale, but that scale makes the bird seem gigantic. I love the black background that makes the bird relly pop and the muted brown in the foreground. There is a train to a town called "Ribbonsville" you should hear it approaching. |

Solitudesby zeuszenComment by Shiiizzzam: I love the bird. I think the photo would do much better without the lower area. Just the bird against the black. That makes for a wonderful photo...maybe try it :) |

Curtainby zeuszenComment by jmritz: It is a beautiful day outside and I am sitting here looking at this photo. I feel fear isolation and imprisonment. Maybe images inspired from my viewing to many horror films in my youth are what evoke these emotions. Very powerful image. And now I will go outside and stand in the sunlight because I realize I can.

Solitudesby zeuszenComment by JC_Homola: Outstanding image. Given the simplicity of the over all image, I feel the person on the breakwater is a bit of a distraction. Of course that is just my opinion. 9 |

Solitudesby zeuszenComment by tyt2000: I don't think the editing you did here improves the photo...Nice DOF though. |

Solitudesby zeuszenComment by Cantique: For me this would work better if the bottom part were cropped out and there was just a long horizontal image with the flying bird. The lighting on the bird is lovely. |
