Railway Stationby DistantColoursComment by PennyStreet: I'm so used to the loud speaker messages in NYC saying don't walk on the tracks! This is actually pretty cool, wondering what it's actually intended to be used for currently. |

Taffetaby DistantColoursComment by streetpigeon: Figuring this is rime. The window is well-served as nature's canvas. As such, it showcases a natural growth of pattern, enhanced by handsome colors that bring it out. Like marbled paper. A lovely fantasy. |

The Prime Meridian Greenwichby DistantColoursComment by P-A-U-L: Originally posted by DistantColours: Originally posted by P-A-U-L: Handy location to have on your doorstep. Is that the official line? Congrats on the HM! | Yes, it's just outside the old Greenwich Observatory. A good place to check the accuracy of the GPS data. This is what my camera recorded at the time of the shot
Latitude 51,28.6196N
Longitude 0,0.0788W
If you put the coordinates into Google Map you'll see how far out the camera's location was. The picture was a shot of "The Avenue" just south of the Observatory. |
Thank you - I had never thought of comparing my camera GPS data with the google map location. |
