A little more contrast and a slight nudge in saturation would really add to this IMO. The eye is nearly centered in this composition. Cropping some off the left to bring the eye to a ROT point would also help. Just a thought. Good luck in the challenge.

CONGRATULATIONS!! This is my first ant :) Let me begin by saying, this is an AMAZING macro! So hard to catch these little boogers in the act :) You seem to have the same leg problem I was having with my Big Daddy photo... some are blurry and some are not. Unfortunantly, there is no fix for this, you just gotta kinda have to live with it :) For me, that minute detail doesn't detract from the image AT ALL! I find that it adds that sense of motion. Makes it interesting to look at :) Thank you for sharing this with me :)

PERFECT capture! ... Nah ... IMO, leave the sign alone ... it places this creature in our world with the tops of some letters showing. The lighting and bokeh is BINGO! ... and, of course, he is the cutest tree rat I ever saw ...

This is a really nice shot. I like the lighting changes and how his little face is in the sunlight. Perhaps bump the brightness just a touch, yet not sure it really needs it. The only thing I would change would be to crop tighter on the right side and maybe a touch on the top to make our little feathered friend a bit more prominent in the photograph. Very nicely done!
