I'm guessing this took a serious crop and/or a high ISO to capture more light, because as I'm sure you've heard, it's fairly grainy. (The more I look at it I'm guessing certainly crop, as it's universally not especially sharp). Otherwise it's a nice scene and well balanced. Colors could be a bit more vivid, although the light tones give it a painting look.

Not that you care, but what I would have done is applied a decent amount of Gaussian blur, which would have gotten rid of a lot of that grain while enhancing the early morning/dreamy aspect of the scene and the tones.

But I am not a photographer, I only play one on DPC.

I like the geese in flight but I wish they featured more prominently also the contrasts between the middle ground and the sky/water highlights are too great for the exposure to handle, quite a nice composition, good luck

Half the time all I see is a white tail disappearing into the distance. Not blown away by this but it is certainly typical to find a deer attempting to be invisible in the woods.

Without the title, I'm getting absolutely no sense of sound from this. Only silence. Nice shot though, but I'll be knocking a couple of point off for my perceived DNMC.
